Finbar's Adventures in Tignes

With his trusty Aislings Finbar headed to the French mountain resort of Tignes.

My first ski season was a silly amount of fun, even with the pandemic shutting down the party early. Based in Tignes and armed with my trusty Aislings every day was a powder day - compared to Scotland at least. Over the course of the three and a half months I skied over 85 days. On almost every one of these days whether they were spent in the park, piste or touring out of the resort, was spent on the Aislings.

One highlight from the season that really stands out as probably the best week of my life would be the film awards week. Together with a few friends we were tasked to ski, film and edit a video, all within a week. This encapsulated the theme for the whole season perfectly - fun. Roping into a Tignes Couloir

The ski season was supposed to be my ‘gap year’ between school and university. However because of how much fun was had, I couldn't say no to heading back this winter - oops. This season will for sure be a weird one with everything going. I'll be using it to try and get through my ski instructing qualifications. Don't worry though, there will still be time for some big sends ;)
